In october 2024, from within the horror of genocide (and with the help of her friend, artist Ken Tanaka), my sweet friend, poet Sondos Al-Saqqa published her debut book of poetry, Aerie Tales artwork by Hannah Shouse (created for a limited edition art publication of Aerie Tales)
the 3 lines printed on the back of this tee, written in the author's hand, are from the foreword to Aerie Tales - these sweet and generous words speak to the people of Gaza as a whole and to the remarkable heart of Sondos specifically.
